Brewery crawls have a math problem: the best taprooms are spread across county roads, every stop adds a pour, and somebody owns the keys. Charter the vehicle instead — the group stays together, the driver stays sober by profession, and the day ends at your own door instead of at a rideshare surge screen.

• Baltimore — the Union Collective cluster, Peabody Heights and the citywide taproom scene
• DC & close-in — Ivy City's distillery-and-brewery block, the NoMa and Navy Yard taprooms

Built for groups

• Three to four taprooms makes the right day — we sequence them so the drives shrink as the afternoon goes on
• We call ahead for groups over 10 — farm breweries appreciate the heads-up and often set aside seating
• Coolers and growler hauls ride in the vehicle between stops
• Vans 10–14, mini coaches 15–25, coaches to 50 for the big birthday or company outing
