MONUMENT COACH
Vintage Trolley

Vintage Trolley — 26–34 passengers

Open-sided, wood-trimmed and unmistakable. The vehicle guests photograph before they have even boarded it.

A trolley is the one vehicle in the fleet chosen for how it looks rather than what it carries, and there is nothing wrong with that. At a wedding it appears in the photographs. On a tour of Annapolis or Fells Point the open sides mean guests actually see the city instead of a tinted window.

What it is booked for

  • Wedding guest shuttles between ceremony, reception and hotel — by far the most common booking
  • Historic touring in Annapolis, Old Town Alexandria, Fells Point and around the DC monuments
  • Holiday light runs in December, when the open sides are the entire point
  • Corporate hospitality and client entertaining, where arriving memorably is the brief

Plan for the pace

A trolley is slower than a coach and not built for highway running. For a venue thirty minutes away by motorway, we will usually suggest the trolley for the short, visible legs and a coach for the long one.

Questions

Answered Before You Ask

How many people fit on a trolley?
Twenty-six to thirty-four depending on the configuration. For a wedding block larger than that, a trolley running two short loops usually beats a single bigger vehicle, because the trolley is half the point.
Can we use a trolley in winter?
Yes. Window panels fit for the cooler months, and December holiday light runs are one of the busiest bookings of the year. Heated and enclosed on request.
Is a trolley good for a long drive?
No, and we will say so. It is slower than a coach and not built for motorway running. For a distant venue we pair a trolley on the short visible legs with a coach on the long one.
How far ahead should we book for a wedding?
As early as the venue is confirmed. There is exactly one trolley and Saturdays from May to October go first, often a year out.

Tell us the date and the headcount. We’ll confirm the vehicle in writing.
