Church & Senior Outings

Unhurried, Door to Door, the Same Driver Each Time

Outings for congregations and senior centres are not about luxury. They are about boarding without a rush, a driver who is patient at the kerb, and getting everyone home tired in the good way.

This is some of the steadiest work we do, and it is the work where the driver matters most. Boarding takes longer. Someone needs a hand with the step. The stop is not always where the map says it should be. None of that is a problem when it has been planned for, and all of it is a problem when a vehicle is booked on price alone and arrives with a driver in a hurry.

Trips we run

  • Day trips — the Eastern Shore, Gettysburg, Lancaster County, Annapolis, the Shenandoah in autumn
  • Services, conventions and revivals, including multi-vehicle movements for larger congregations
  • Theatre and matinee runs, and the DC museums on a weekday when the crowds are thin
  • Shopping trips, grocery runs, and standing weekly or monthly schedules
  • Funerals and family gatherings, where keeping everyone together genuinely helps

How we handle it

  • Unhurried boarding, with the driver out of the vehicle and at the door
  • Kerbside pickup as close to the entrance as the vehicle can legally get, not across a car park
  • Accessible vehicles arranged on request — tell us when you enquire and we will size it correctly
  • Rest stops built into longer routes rather than improvised along the way
  • The same driver on a recurring schedule wherever we can, because familiarity is worth a great deal to a regular group

Sizing and cost

  • Vans 10–14, mini coaches 15–25, full coaches to 50
  • One flat quote for the day, so a treasurer can put a real number in front of a committee
  • Recurring schedules priced as a standing arrangement rather than trip by trip
Questions

Answered Before You Ask

Can you accommodate walkers, canes or wheelchairs?
Tell us when you enquire and we will size the vehicle correctly and arrange an accessible one where it is needed. Walkers and canes travel routinely; a wheelchair needs to be arranged rather than assumed.
Do you allow extra time for boarding?
Yes, and it is built into the schedule rather than taken out of the trip. A group that boards unhurried arrives calm, which is rather the point of the day.
Can we book the same driver every month?
Wherever the schedule allows, yes. Familiarity matters to a regular group, and we will hold a driver on a standing run if we can.
How do we pay for a church group trip?
One flat quote for the day and one invoice, which is usually what a treasurer needs in order to take it to a committee. We are happy to quote several date options at once.

Tell us the date and the destination. We’ll take the worry out of the day.

Quotes are free, firm, and fast.
